Filmmaker and Oral Historian, Erin Derham, is an international award winning Director who began her career editing and directing for PBS. After receiving an MA in History, she
founded History Boutique Films, and made Buskin’ Blues, a music documentary exploring the secretive lives of street performers. It won numerous awards, screened at film festivals all over the world, and was released for worldwide distribution in 2016. Her current films on the festival circuit are Julian Price, a historical documentary about an inspirational philanthropist, and Blue Air, a narrative short film following a young mother and child finding strength in the great outdoors. Erin has a career in storytelling, working with clients like PBS, Red Bull TV, MIT, NOAA and Echo Mountain Recording. Derham's passion for filmmaking is shown on screen by exploring the human experience and her creative fury is evident in all of her work. Music is an obsession, and becomes integral to her storytelling process, regardless of the topic.
Currently, Derham is in production for her largest film yet, Stuffed, a feature length documentary, focusing on the art of taxidermy and the people who have chosen this unique profession around the world.
