Producer Kaleena Kiff developed and produced the BAFTA award-winning feature film The Legend of Barney Thomson, which opened the 2015 Edinburgh International Film Festival with a bang. The dark comedy stars Robert Carlyle, Academy Award Winner Emma Thompson, & Ray Winstone. Additionally in 2015, Kiff premiered the comedy feature No Men Beyond This Point at the International Film Festival Rotterdam where it received the UPC Top Ten Audience Award. At the Toronto International Film Festival, the film was picked up by Samuel Goldwyn Films after its North American Premiere. Sony Pictures Entertainment released the film worldwide in 2016.
Kiff is currently developing a slate of feature films and television projects in both Canada and abroad, including an Indo-Canadian co-production with the producers of The Lunchbox. In addition to producing feature films, Kiff has produced visual effects for a variety of U.S. television series, including “Bates Motel” for A&E, “Salem” for WGN, and “Timeless” for NBC.
With an eye toward opening up Canadian film to the world, her role as Executive Producer at Darkhorse 10 allows her to marry world-class visual effects with independent film production.
Kiff is a member of the Producers Guild of America and ACE (Ateliers du Cinéma Européen).
