El Tecolote is a rural community located amidst the Matehuala desert, in San Luis Potosí state, Mexico. Every year visitors from Mexico, and around the world, come to this place. Along with them, the inhabitants entrust to Saint Isidore the Farmer because, if he allows it, the rain will come to the community to favor the crops and will permit the abundance of peyote, the foreigner’s reason to arrive to The Tecolote.
