In this corridor Ayala, a young woman tethered only lightly to the beauty of the universe and to the love of her young family, wanders in pain and confusion, trying to emerge from the labyrinth, trying to cling to the raft of her promising and vibrant young life. Yet death calls. It beckons in the softest of voices and the richest of colors, promising new dimensions, rest, renewal and an end to yearning. Using lush cinematography and startling visual images “Streams” dares to explore the vertigo of those few individuals who, blessed and cursed with an extraordinary sensitivity to the world of the spirit, grapple every day with the tortured question of their own existence.
