Olivia B is Caymanian artist of various forms—singer, painter, makeup artist and fashion/ style blogger and has quickly become a household name on her piece of paradise, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands. Olivia B is not just a fashion brand but a representation of conceptual arts and a vehicle for exposure and visibility to the Cayman Islands as a fashion-conscious destination.
Working in the finance industry for well over 17 years, Olivia immerses herself in art forms as a creative outlet to express herself and maintain balance. Adding fashion design to her portfolio of creative talents, Olivia designs in a way that not only sets her apart from other designers, but reflect her personal style, passion and appreciation for fashion, with the mission to ultimately change the way women express their femininity through quality clothes.
Although the brand Olivia B is new to runways, her passion for fashion started at an early age where she spent countless hours watching her mother craft eye-catching, one-of-a-kind pieces. Unfortunately, while she never actually attempted to make an outfit herself, she helped her mother with sketches and style ideas which at the time, was equally as important as being able to make an outfit.
Over the years, Olivia designed outfits for herself but first appeared as a designer in 2014 at the Fashion At Heart Red Dress event in Grand Cayman; an event hosted in an effort to help bring awareness to heart disease. In 2015, she debuted her very first collection at Allure Fashion Weekend Grand Cayman and received overwhelming support from the crowd as each piece was modelled on the runway. Olivia’s second ready-to-wear collection ‘Parallel’, hit the runway at Cayman Islands Fashion Week in April 2016, which was another success. After showing at Allure Fashion Weekend and Cayman Islands Fashion Week, Olivia was selected by COSME (Caribbean Overseas Small to Medium Enterprise funded by the EU) to attend the 8th Annual BVI Summer Sizzle as an emerging designer from the OCT (Overseas Countries and Territories. later showed her third collection ‘Poinciana’, at Nolcha Shows New York Fashion Week in September 2016.
